These graphs indicate the amount of use of a particular device in the house.
The graphs below are updated at the end of each day by a computer program I wrote called AutoGraph. This application can parse a text log file in HAL and graph the amount of time the device is used. The image files can easily be viewed through HAL HomeNet and optionally transferred (via FTP) to your personal web site, as I have done below. HAL can be instructed to automatically update the graphs via the RUN Program action. Click here if you want to learn how to use AutoGraph with your own HAL setup.
These are my graphs from Yesterday.
For measuring the total wattage in your house get a brand electronics one-meter. Be sure to ask for the whole house one-meter with the Kilowatt per hour "cost option". I wrote a small computer program called AutoMeter that will allow you to log the data and also voice activates all of the available data through HAL (Current house voltage, wattage, amperage and cost since the last scheduled reset). The cost is approximately $400 and it comes with a wall mount panel display and all the cables required. The current sensors must be installed in your fuse panel and you must run a RS-232 line (over cat-5) to your HAL PC.
